In Biology, a subfamily is an intermediate level, immediately lower than the category family of the traditional Classification of the living beings (see Systématique).

The name of the families ends in the suffix - oideae at the Plante S, Algue S and Champignon S and - inae at the animal .Ces names is translated into French by a name finishing in oidée and innate .
