Sub-Saharan Africa
the sub-Saharan Africa , called before Black Africa , is to be put in opposition with the North Africa, limited to the South by the the Sahel.
Sub-Saharan Africa is generally subdivided in four under-areas known under the names:
- of West Africa,
- of East Africa,
- of central Africa,
- of Southern Africa.
Made of 47 Country and populated approximately 700 million inhabitants (beginning 21e century), sub-Saharan Africa is the most stripped part of the continent, in particular out of politically the most animated economic material and: indeed, having a GDP per capita very weak (approximately 1 000 dollars /ans) and of a IDH of 0,465 (world mean of 0,729). The number of the evil nourished (206 million people) increased by 37 million people over the ten last years.
