The family of the sturnidés (or Sturnidae ) belongs to the class of the Oiseau X and to the order of the Passériformes.
Systematic position
In the classification of Sibley and Monroe, the family of the sturnidés includes the sturnidés sensu stricto (starling X, martins, Mainates and metal blackbirds which constitutes the tribe of the Sturnini S but also the 34 species of mockers formerly classified in the family of the mimidés , become tribe of the Mimini S.
