The Bourre is a card deck of origin occitane (“lô borô is said” while occitant). He is played with 32 charts.
The order of value is the following: King, Lady, Servant, Ace, 10,9,8,7.
Many alternatives exist according to the areas. Most current is played 3 or 4 players. Each one receives 5 charts and setting in a pot a sum equalizes before definite. This setting is shared at the end of the turn according to the number of folds carried out by each player.
If a player did not make a fold, it is said that it is “Bourru”. It then must, with the following turn, to add with the setting the double of the sum which has just been divided by its adversaries.
There can be several losers and this, several times of at a stretch. Thus, the amount of the pot can quickly reach high amounts.
