Studio DEEN

of animation Japanese founded in 1975 by members of Sunrise is a studio.

History

Hiroshi Hasegawa, employed at Sunrise, found the Deen studio on March 13rd, 1975. To the end of 1981, the studio made of subcontracting for other studios like Shinei Douga in particular on films of Doraemon . In 1981, he collaborates with the Pierrot studio on Lamu , series inspired of a manga of Rumiko Takahashi. After the departure of Mamoru Oshii of the realization of the series in 1984, Studio Deen takes again the reins of the series and concludes it its in 1986. Thereafter, the studio will recollabora with Rumiko Takahashi by adapting its mangas Maison Ikkoku and Ranma ½ .

The studio also collaborates with the realizer Mamoru Oshii in particular on Tenshi No tamago and on Patlabor .

The studio made soutraiter part of its production thanks to its Chinese subsidiary company and its recent collaboration the Korean studio Echo Animation.
