Strong Fun Abenteuerland

Fort Fun Abenteuerland is a Amusement park located at Bestwig, in the district of the Haut-Sauerland, in Rhineland-of-North-Westphalia, Germany. The park accommodates approximately 400.000 visitors per annum.

History

It is in 1967 that Charles Freiherr von Wendt made build its first Luge of summer. In 1972, in the vicinity, a second track is added. It is then longest of this type in the whole world. Follows from there the installation of a vacation village with 25 bungalows and the creation of a restaurant, Strong Fun Saloon. The park developed as of its beginnings on the topic of the far west.

The park became in 2002 the property of the French group Grévin and Co (today HALF-VALUE LAYER Parks). With there fine of the season 2003, the two tracks of Luge of summer were closed. They were replaced by a Alpine coaster in 2005. The founder of park Charles Freiherr von Wendt is deceased in 2006 at the 68 years age.
