Strix uralensis

The Chouette of the Ural ( Strix Uralensis ) is a night bird of prey.

He lives in the North-East of the Europe but also in the wooded mountains of the south and the east.

Its food mode consists of Rongeur S, birds and Amphibien S. Agressive and not very apprehensive, it can attack the man to defend his nest located in holes of tree or abandoned nests. The Owl of the Ural lays only once per annum by brooded from 3 to 4 eggs.

Its longevity is 15 years in nature and up to 25 years in captivity.
