Stripping

In the metallurgical industry, the stripping consists in separating the moulded metal bunch + system from filling (casting) + runners of the sand of moulding which surrounds it.

In certain foundry, in particular for the realization of light alloy prototypes, this operation is still carried out manually, using hammer X, of mass S and Marteau-piqueur.
In other cases, it is carried out by vibration: one poses the mould on a vibrating grid, sand falls apart of the bunch and passes through the grid of stripping. The bunch remains on the grid and perhaps evacuated towards the station of trimming where the parts will be separated from the appendices from cast (food, runners, etc), sand will be regenerated for a new operation of moulding.
