String (linen room)

The string (in English thong or G-string , for cord or string) is a type of Sous-vêtement (or Bathing suit) intended to hide the Pubis but leaving the Fesse S entirely discovered. It is often tiny room to the strict minimum.

Description

It is an undergarment made up of two parts of fabric, of Cuir, vinyl or latex. The first part is a triangle recovering the pubis and being prolonged in a fine band (often reduced to a string) passing between the Cuisse S and the buttocks. It is connected by its two ends to the second part, it also more or less fine, which surrounds the Hanche S.

Polemics

In same time, the socialist mayor of Paris, Bertrand Delanoë, took a Local by-law concerning the edition 2006 of the demonstration Paris-Beach, prohibiting the behaviors known as indecent (including the strings) and making them liable to a fine of 38 euros. The town hall stressed that the goal of this text was “to conform to the moralities, peace, safety and the law and order”

Hygiene and health
