Strengthened sector of Thionville

The strengthened Sector of Thionville constituted the most succeeded most solid part and of the whole of the Ligne Maginot.

Units

The following units trained the crews of the works and casemates of the sector as well as the troops of interval stationed between those:

• 167e Regiment of infantry of fortress (167e RIF): Under Sector of Elzange
• 168e Regiment of infantry of fortress (168e RIF): Under Sector of Hettange-Large
• 70e mobile Regiment of artillery of fortress (70e RAMF)
• 151e Regiment of artillery of position (151e RAP)
