Streetlight Manifesto

Streetlight Manifesto is a group of punk Ska American formed in 2003 with East Brunswick Township (New Jersey).

Biography

Several of its members (or ex-members) are already well-known amateurs of Ska, to have already belonged to great groups: Wrestling 22 for Tomas Kalnoky (which was singer, guitarist and type-setter there), Jamie Egan , Mike Soprano , and Josh Ansle , and cool One Guy for Stuart Karmatz , Pete Sibilia , daN Ross , and Chris Paszik . This line-up underwent with the wire of the time of many changes, and Divided into volumes Kalnoky is in 2007 the only survivor of initial training.

After having left their first demonstration in 2002, the group is pointed out by the label Victory Records, which publishes also Catch 22. In 2003 leaves their first album, Everything goes numb . It will be a success, and one will find it, three years after his exit, in signal 100 of the sales of the Interpunk.com site.

After some rounds, the group leaves in 2006 its second album " Keasbey Nights" , where Kalnoky works over again the album of Wrestling 22 of the same name. At the exit, one finds an album plus software, slower, and with the coppers put more ahead on the initial version.

There would be tensions between Sreetlight Manifesto and Catch 22, because of presence of Divided into volumes Kanolky, which left Catch 22 to continue its studies. Thus, in the piece " At moment off silence" , one can hear: " Yew you haste me so much then stop singing my songs " (" If you hate me so much, stop singing my chansons"), which could aim Catch 22, for which Kanolky wrote the texts. In the same way, in the words of " So cold" , of Wrestling 22, one can read: " I can' T believe you' Re still mad butt that, I can' T believe you' Re still living room in the past " (" I cannot believe that you would be still upset for that, I cannot still believe only you sharp in the passé"), perhaps for Divided into volumes Kanolky.

Several members of Streetlight Manifesto belonged to the collective Bandits off the acoustic revolution.
