Fraisses is a common French, located in the department of the the Loire and the area the Rhone-Alps.
Geography
History
Possession in 1325 of Waistcoat of Escotay. Strawberries is a commune since 1793, but its inhabitants remained parish of Firminy until 1865, date of the construction of a first church. On the armorial bearings, an anvil and three ashes (strawberries in patois) recall the rural past and the work disappeared from the nailsmiths. The commune urbanized in a diffuse way, like appendix residential of the Holtzer steel-works, which carried out between the two wars a garden city on a model of Alsatian working habitat. Dating from the second Empire (built in 1866 - 1867), the Dorian castle accepted famous hosts, such as Victor Hugo and Emile Zola.
