Stratum spinosum

The Stratum spinosum is a épidermique fabric made up of cells less high than the basal Couche, the cubic cells . One notes there the presence of many Desmosome S (from where the “spineux” name) which binds the cells between them. In the cytopasme, there are Tonofilament S (intermediate filaments organized in trousseaus and composed of keratin).

The mucous Corps of Malpigie contains polyhedric cells and forms most of the skin. It comprises 4 to 10 cellular water bases inflated and separated by intercellular spaces containing a not very abundant intermediate substance.

The surface of the Kératinocyte S has many villosities. “Bridges” connect the cells between them, it are the desmosomes on which the tonofilaments fit which group to form the Tonofibrille S. The cells adhere the ones to the others thanks to a substance containing of the hydrophobic and absorbent complexes placed between the desmosomes. The fibrillary system of the mucous body is adapted to the perpendicular and tangential pressures to which the cells are subjected.

The mucous body downwards contains in particular cells of Langerhans whose dendritic prolongations infiltrate to the granulous layer to the top and until the dermo-épidermique junction. The cells of Langerhans are derived from the osseous Moelle and multiply on the level of the skin. They have a macrophagic activity.
