Stratum germinativum
The stratum germinativum is a fabric of the Peau and skin, composed of cells attached to the basal Membrane by Hémidesmosome S. These cells is connected between them by Desmosome S. the core of these cells is rounded and located at the basal pole of the cell. They are active, secreting cells: endoplasmic Réticulum granulous bulky, Appareil of Golgi developed, many Mitochondrie S. Between these cells can be cells of Merkel or Langerhans which neither is attached to the basal membrane nor with the other cells.
The stratum germinativum is the deepest layer of the skin, located just on the basal blade. It is there that are born the cells from the skin. One finds there the Mélanocyte S, cells responsible for the color of the skin and bronzing. The epithelial cells multiply by cellular Division on the level of the basal layer, the incipient cells push the other cells upwards, it is the cellular rise.
The basal layer is the zone of junction between the skin and the derm. Also called germinative layer or stratum basal (the epithelial cells as some other cellular types carry a particular “coat” around them which exists only on the level of the basal membrane of the epithelial cells from where the name of basal blade.)
