Strange Parallel

Strange Parallel is a Short film, whose principal subject Elliott Smith is the American singer, carried out by Steve Hanft in 1998.

The film comprises interview of Elliott Smith itself, fans, friends and other knowledge (of which the realizer Gus van Sant). The film also comprises musical extracts interpreted by Smith as well as sequences in studio during the recording of the song " Brand New game" (new to date). Per moment the film moves away from reality, with some played scenes and of the humorous sequences, in particular that where Elliott Smith plans to buy a hand of robot to improve its music.

The scenes of this film are held mainly with New York and Portland in the Oregon, city in which the singer is originating.
