Strait blues

The Detroit blues is a kind of Blues played by musicians coming or living with Detroit in the Michigan particularly in the Années 1940 and 1950.

The Strait blues was born when the musicians of Delta blues left the delta of the the Mississippi and Memphis (Tennessee) to go to work in North in the industielles plantations of Strait in the Années 1920 and 1930. The typical blues of Strait is very close to the style Chicago blues. Sonorities of the Strait blues are distinguished from the Delta blues by the use of amplified electric instruments and a more eclectic variety of instruments, like the low Guitare and the Piano.

The only musician of Strait to have really acquired blues a fame international is John Lee Hooker, because the recording companies tended to be unaware of the scene blues of Strait in favor of Chicago more influential and popular blues.
