Strainer
A strainer is a metal filter at the end of a drain.
Very much used in particular in the gutter S and the Roof ures terraces to prevent that the dead Feuille S do not fall into the descents from rain water.
The strainers are also used in the Piézomètre S which make it possible to take the water of the underground layers.
In the boilers with fuel, the strainer constitutes a metal device functioning like a Clapet anti-backward flow. It is fixed at the end of the feeder pipe which plunges in the tank.
The strainer also indicates cooks of it the peritoneum (membrane which contains the internal organs of the pig). It was about a very fine veined membrane of lipid. It is frequently used in pork-butchery to maintain together a preparation culinary like pies, the crépinettes, the rolls, the roasts and others. It melts with cooking to let appear on the cooked part only of light marks. It deteriorates the taste by no means and is handled relatively easily. Preserved in brine it will have to be rinsed with fresh and cold water before using it. Less fatty than the section of fat, it is more digeste and makes it possible to avoid a too large absorbtion of grease animal while eating. The strainer is also called cap or toilet.
