Barrage against the Pacific is a film italo - American carried out by Rene Clément and left in 1958.

Synopsis

A widow, Mrs Dufresne, owner of a concession in Indo-China during the Years 1950, tests, by all the means, to protect its rice plantations against the typhoons from the Pacifique. Without financial great ways, it puts at contribution her two children Suzanne and Joseph which aspire to a better life. It will have to also face the operations of a government official charged to repurchase its exploitation…
