A threading stopped is a mechanical device which is typically used with the cylinder heads of artillery guns. It is a Filetage whose nets are stopped. The withdrawn nets follow the axis of threading. That makes it possible to insert and tighten while screwing of 1/4 or 1/6 of turn.
