Biography

In 1977, they take part in the first punk festival London to the 100 Club and Elli does the one of the newspaper Melody Maker. In spite of a certain support of the press rock'n'roll of the time, Stinky Toys will sell little and will separate in 1979, after two albums. Elli Medeiros and Jacno become then the duet Elli and Jacno.

Stinky Toys are different from the Punk-rock'n'roll by a rock'n'roll more nonchalant, Dandy and a look wise and coloured near to the sixties. The group claims itself by provocation of artists such as France Gall or Francoise Hardy, but the style of jacno is closer to Keith Richards or Pete Townshend.

  • Jacno affirms to have required of its recording company to be paid in beer Valstar.
