Steve Montador

Steve Montador (born the December 12th 1979 with Vancouver with the Canada) is a professional player of Hockey.

Career in club

It begins its career in the league junior of the Ontario, the Ontario Hockey League while playing for the Centennials de North Bay in 1996. Two years later, it joined the Otters d' Érié then in 1999 it signs with the Petes de Peterborough. Signed by the Flames of Calgary of the National league of hockey as a free agent, he plays two matches of the eliminatory Séries 2000 of the American Ligue of hockey with the Flames of Saint-John, frankness associated with Calgary.

He then plays the following seasons with the team of the LAH and makes his beginnings in the LNH at the time of the season 2001-02. He takes part then in ten matches registering a goal and two assistances for a total of three points.

At the time of the two following seasons, Montador is gradually made a place within the manpower of the Flames and in 2004, it takes part even in the series of the Coupe Stanley. Its team is beaten finally by the Lightning de Tampa Bay. With the '' lockout '' 2004-05 of the LNH, Montador decides with its fellow-member, Steven Reinprecht, to join the French Elite , the Ligue Magnus. They play then the season within the Scorpions of Mulhouse. January 5th, 2005, at the time of the meeting opposing its team to the Red Devils of Briançon, it comes to the hands with Jasmin Gélinas. A few minutes later, Gélinas makes a faintness on the bench of the penalty and will not return on the ice. At the end of the season, the Scorpions gain the Coupe Magnus finally by beating the Black Diables of Turns.

Of return in 2005, in North America, Montador begins the season with the Flames but joined the Panthers of Florida in return of Kristian Huselius.
