Steve Lacy
Steve Lacy is a Saxophoniste and a Compositeur of Jazz. From its true name Steven Norman Lackritz , Steve Lacy was born with New York the July 23rd 1934 and he died in Boston the June 4th 2004.
Steve Lacy is among the largest players of Soprano saxophone with Sidney Bechet or John Coltrane. It begin with the traditional jazz (the Dixieland) before engaging in the Free jazz with Cecil Taylor. It is with him that he discovers a great source of inspiration: Thelonious Monk .
He lived a long time in Europe and in particular with Paris.
