Steve Hansen

Steve Hansen , born the May 7th 1959 with Dunedin, is a trainer of Rugby New Zealand.

After having been the assistant of Graham Henry, he becomes trainer of the Wales. He sets up the foundations which will make it possible later to the Welsh to join again with their glorious last by gaining the Grand Slam 2005.

In 2003, it carries out brilliant a campagen World cup.

Wales carries out against the All Blacks to twenty minutes of the end of the match. And they make a serious match against the English.

He had played Rugby with XV during 15 years with the province of Canterbury. He starts to involve in Canterbury, he gains with this club the titles of NPC in 1997 and 2001 and it successfully defends the Ranfurly Shield 16 times during this time.

He is also trainer of Crusaders which he leads to the victory in 1999 from Super the 12 with Wayne Smith, and in 2000 as principal trainer. Steve Hansen is assistant of Graham Henry today, with the Équipe of New Zealand of Rugby to XV.
