Steve Barakatt
Steve Barakatt is a pianist, singer and Canadian type-setter born on May 17th 1973 with Quebec, Quebec.
Biography
Resulting from a family of lovers of the music, Steve is envoûté as of 4 years by the music and begins piano lessons. During the fifteen following years, he studies the classical music, then the jazz.Steve lived very stimulative musical experiments as of its more young age. He in particular played as soloist invited for the Symphony orchestra of Quebec whereas he was old only 13 years.
At 16 years, Steve Barakatt is fascinated by the composition, arrangements and the production. He studies new technologies and controls the musical programming quickly. So much so that the prestigious Roland Japanese company invites it to present his new products at the time of the fair NAMMde 1992 to Anaheim, in California.
General-purpose and creative musician, it is invited to take part in recordings and concerts with a unit and whole host of stars of which Chorus of the Red Army and the Philharmonic orchestra of Tokyo. Impassioned truth of the music, it takes pleasure to explore all the musical styles.
Type-setter-interpret
Steve Barakatt recorded its first album solo Double Joy at 14 years. This album is launched to Canada on November 11th, 1987, and in less than one week, it was found with the Signal-20 of the best salesmen.
It composed then and produces a series of albums with the PolyGram multinationals, Universal and JVC-Victor Entertainment. At this point in time it presents the albums Audace , Escape , Steve Barakatt LIVE , Quebec , Eternity , has Coils Affair and All About Custom . These recordings are distributed in more than 15 country and its music is diffused by several hundreds of radio stations and television. A great number of its compositions were retained as musical topics for more than 150 television programs of which the automobile Grand Prix of Monaco and the World cup of the FIFA.
In 2007, Steve launches its first vocal album Here I Am recorded to London in famous Air Studios of Sir George Martin. This album is recorded with the collaboration of Foundation Philharmonic Orchestra of London and several artists of reputation.
Type-setter-producer
Steve Barakatt is very required as type-setter-producer for many Canadian, South American and Asian artists.
With the Canada, Steve discovers in 1995 the young singer Natasha St-Pier and produces its first album Émergence . As of the launching of the album, the composition of Steve entitled Without the Knowledge was found among the first 5 titles on the prize lists of the Québécois radios and it video of the song took the head of poster of the station MusiquePlus.
It also produces the recording officel Canadian national anthem and American for Expos of Montreal of the Major Ligue of Baseball. The version of Steve Barakatt is presented before the local matches of Expos to the Olympic stadium of Montreal.
In 1997, he wrote several songs, whose It is a promise for the Canadian singer Johanne Blouin and In the arena for the Argentinian singer Guillermo Saldana.
In HongKong, Steve collaborated with many interpreters. In 1995, it composed Mou Tian which is interpreted by the four Asian high-speed motorboats Kelly Chen, Joyce Yau, Daniel Chan and Ray Chan. In 1996, it composed a duet for the superstars Leon Lai and Alan Tam, Song off Stars , who joined together them for the first time on disc. Steve also wrote Nor Shi Shui for the album solo of Leon Lai Feel Leon launched the same year.
In Japan, the song Kaze To Kino ATU-Quebec 1608 was interpreted by the Japanese singer Sincere. In 1999, the popular singer Yoko Oginome recorded We' L Be Together which was used as musical topic for the popular television program Shitteru Tsumori on network NTV. In 2000, it composed Watashi Dake De Ite for the star Japanese woman Noriko Sakai. In 2001, Nuit of love in Paris was retained like musical topic with the dramatic TV KIS Again on the prestigious television network NHK.
In England, it composed in 2003 the music of the series Urban Myth Chillers produced for Universal (London) putting in the high-speed motorboat the actor Omar Sharif.
In 2006, Steve composed and produces the song Here We Are which he interprets in duet with Canadian the Audrey de Montigny. The song is included on its first vocal album Here I Am as on the album Take Me Ace I Am of the singer. Collaboration between the two artists continues for the project Make Some Noise for Amnesty International whereas Steve Barakatt composes and produces the song Love John Lennon.

During its career, Steve had to interpret its music on scenes of the whole world and it took part in more than 500 events of provincial, national and international scale.

symphonic work AD Vitam Aeternam
During the year 2003, Steve Barakatt decided to implement a project of scale: to compose and design a symphonic spectacle under the topic of the 16 great stages of the human experiment. After more than 30 months of creation, it presents on September 30th, 2005 the first world one of AD Vitam Aeternam to the Large Theater of Quebec accompanied by the Symphony orchestra by Quebec. June 16th, 2006, it presents the first European one with the Symphony orchestra of Iaroslavl in Russia under the musical direction of the famous leader Murad Annamamedov. It is into 2007 that AD Vitam Aeternam will be presented in Asia like in several cities of Quebec and Canada.This production will be also an official event of the festivals of the 400e birthday of the town of Quebec presented June 18th and 19th 2008 to the Large Theater of Quebec. In 2010, production AD Vitam Aeternam will be presented at the time of the festivals of the 1000e birthday of the town of Iaroslavl, city of the world heritage of UNESCO.
Steve Barakatt cherishes the dream to combine symphonic work with scenic and artistic elements including visual dance, projection, acrobatics, effects which will supplement the creation of the artistic, physical and philosophical universe of AD Vitam Aeternam to make some one day, a permanent spectacle.
