Steps of Selma with Montgomery

The Marches of Selma with Montgomery were three steps of protest which marked the fight of the Civic right with the the United States. They were the culminating point of the movement for the Right to vote, launched by Amelia Boynton Robinson and her husband, with Selma in the Alabama.

Robinson had the support of many representatives of the Mouvement Afro-American of the civic rights to Selma, including Martin Luther King, James Bevel and Hosea Williams.

“Bloody Sunday” (“bloody Sunday”) occurred the March 7th 1965 at the time of one of these steps. 600 demonstrators for the civic rights were attacked by the local police with Matraque S and Teargas.

The very same day the militant white one of the civic rights Viola Liuzzo is assassinated by the Ku Klux Klan whereas it brings back walkers in his car.

Only last walk arrived successfully at Montgomery.

The route from now on is materialized as a Selma to Montgomery National Historic Trail .
