Steppe
The steppe (of the Russian степь, step ) is an area of Central Asia which is an example of Biome named meadows, steppes, savannas and bush moderate. The steppe term can be used génériquement to indicate this type of biome.
According to the characteristics of the woody species and their density, one speaks about raised steppe, steppe buissonnante, thorny steppe…
The steppe is also characterized by a semi-arid Climat, and forms sometimes the transition with the ic zones Désert. In certain parts of the world, and especially in Europe, ex- the USSR and North America, the steppes were put in culture, which caused the decline of the Flore and the fauna which are pledged for them.
