Stephen McCauley

Stephen McCauley (born on June 26th, 1955) is a American writer .

Biography

He grew in the area of Boston then studied at the University of Vermont and, during one year, with the Université of Nice. After its diploma, it had various employment: he thus worked in hotels, kindergartens, stores dietetic, and in an travel agency during a few years. These very diversified experiments (he taught even yoga and held a stand of ices) largely nourished the context of its novels.

In the years 1980, after its installation with Brooklyn, it followed studies of writing to the University of Columbia, and following the suggestion of the writer Stephen Koch, the writing of its first novel undertook.

It to date published five novels (whose first, the Object of my affection was adapted to the cinema in 1998, with Jennifer Aniston in one of the main roles) and currently lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
