Stephen Ambrose
Stephen E. Ambrose (January 10th 1936, in the Illinois - October 13rd 2002) is an American historian.
Biography
He was born in Decatur (Illinois) and grew in Whitewater (Wisconsin).He wrote many books concerning the American history, including the forwarding of Lewis and Clark, the transcontinental railroad, and the civil war, but he is better known for his stories about the Second world war and wrote more than 20 books. One of its books " Band off Brothers " was began again by the realizers Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg in coproduction with HBO. This minisery left in France on the small screen in July 2002.
He died the October 13rd 2002, in the county of St Louis (the Mississippi) of a Cancer of the lung.
