Stephen A. Douglas
Stephen Arnold Douglas (April 23rd) 1813 - June 3rd 1861), was an American politician of the Illinois, known to have made vote the Acte Kansas-Nebraska in 1854. It beat Abraham Lincoln at the time of the senatorial elections of 1858 in Illinois, before being itself demolishes, as a democratic candidate in North, with the presidential election of 1860.
