Stephen-Liégeard college
The college Stéphen-Liégeard is a French college located at Brochon, in Coast-with Or (area Burgundy). Opened in 1962, it is installed in the castle Stéphen Liégeard.
The castle is built of 1895 to 1898 by Stéphen Liégeard by taking as a starting point several Loire ch4ateau, in particular that of Azay-the-Curtain. It became a college thanks to the legacy carried out by the son of Stéphen Liégeard, Gaston Liégeard, at the minister of education main road. Become a college of mainstream education, the unit is composed of a castle, a park and a modern building of teaching being next to a boarding school. It is in this college that Arnaud Montebourg passed his baccalaureat.
Created in 1994, the Association of the Friends of the Castle Stéphen-Liégeard de Brochon was given for goal to promote the knowledge of this Burgundian inheritance, to carry out research on the Liégeard family, to gather memories, and to celebrate the centenary of the building. In partnership with the District council of Burgundy, the Stéphen-Liégeard college and the commune of Brochon, Association organizes in summer of the guided visits of the castle and the park, rehabilitated by the care of the O.N.F.
