Stephan Pompougnac
Stephan Pompougnac is a French DJ of House born in 1968 in Paris. He is also musician, type-setter and producer. He is particularly known to have mixed compilations Lounge of the series Hôtel Costes. He is the nephew of the humorist Jean-Marc Pompougnac.
Biography
Stephan Pompougnac was born with Paris in April 1968 from a father psychotherapist and a mother dental surgeon. It passed its youth to Bordeaux.Its first employment with the famous Parisian de luxe hotel Hôtel Costes was as a waiter. It starts to mix in clubs such as the Queen, the Privilege, the Devil of Lombards, and the Bains-Douches. It is with the Baths that it meets Claude Challes which helped it to build its own musical knowledge. It meets thereafter Jean-Louis Costes, joint owner of the Hôtel Costes, which invites it to work for him in 1997. Pompougnac leaves its first CD mix, Costes , in 1999. Five other volumes of the series Hôtel Costes follow before the exit of its first album, Living one the Edge in 2003, with in particular the participation of Michael Stipe (R.E.M.) on the song Clumsy .
