Stephan Despatie

Stephan Despatie (1968 with Montreal -) is a writer, Poète and Critique arts person Québécois.

He takes an active part in the literary and cultural life since the beginning of the years 1990, initially as an editor of the review Entracte devoted to the performing arts and the spectacle. Then, he is successively bookseller, chronicler literary, directing of a collection of Poésie, organizer and organizer of public readings of poetry, with the Quebec and in France, and like reader of his own works.

He is one of the founders of the Market of the poetry of Montreal. He is currently critical arts person and theatrical with the weekly magazine Voir , like director of the review of poetry Exit .

Its poetic work includes/understands several collections of which: Goat-suckers , In the middle of din and To keep fire . He wrote also an account, Réservé for the dogs , appeared at XYZ editor. Its poems were translated into Spanish, Italian and Russian.

He is member of the Union of the écrivaines and writers Québécois, of the Québécois Association of the drama critics and PEN club of Montreal.
