Stephan Decor is a Leader Suisse, born the January 19th 1968 with Geneva

Biography

He studies the trumpet with the higher Academy of Geneva as of 1984, then he follows the training of leader to the Military academy of Band master of Aarau, in Suisse, then finishes his studies in England.

He kept his function of military band master until in 1998.

In 1989, he was the youngest leader of Switzerland and it is with its interpretation of the opening of Tannhäuser of Wagner, that the public discovers it.

During several years, its English experiment enables him to be made a place in the world of the Baroque music thanks to its noticed executions of the Water Music and Royal Firework Music of Haendel.

It directs several years to Switzerland and England of the professional chamber orchestras, of the whole of coppers, the civil and military harmonies. In parallel of its career of leader, it is often requested to help of the orchestras to start or start again themselves; it also helped of the artists in their professional progression.

In 2004, it creates its clean professional Chamber orchestra in Geneva, the French academic Orchestre, with the percussionnist/beater Jean-Pierre Lehmann. He is also cofounder of the Swiss Lyric Company.
