Stella McCartney

Stella Nina McCartney was born the September 13rd 1971 with London (the United Kingdom). It is a designer re-elected in the world of the mode.

Biography

It is the girl of old the Beatles to sir Paul McCartney and of Linda Eastman American photographer. Its premature birth by Cesarean, took place under conditions traumatisantes, his/her mother and it failed to die about it. According to his/her father, it was at this time that it found the name of the group of music which it will form later with his wife. Indeed, whereas it waited in the corridor out of the operating room, it requested so that the arrival in the world of his/her daughter proceeds according to her words: " one the wings off year angel" (on the wings of an angel).

Their parents wanting that they live a normal life, although being them even famous, Stella, his/her two Mary sisters and Heather as their James brother pousuivirent their schooling in a public school of the east of the Sussex. Very early attracted by stylism Stella cousut its first jacket at the 12 years age. Three years later it takes part in the development of the first collection haute couture of Christian Lacroix. In 1995 it off presents its collection of end of study to the St Martins College Art & Design with London. His/her father is the author of the music of his procession called " Stella May Day" , and its creations are presented amongst other things by Naomi Campbell, Yasmin the Good and Kate Moss.

Career

As of the end of its studies Stella launches its own collection of clothing. Two years later in 1997, it is recruited as creative director of the house Chloé with Paris. In April 2001 it creates its house of collection under its own name under the aegis of the group Gucci. Its mark proposes in addition to clothing, accessories as well as glasses. It launches also the September 13rd, 2003 a perfume to its first name. Its collections are distributed in forty countries in particular share the skew of the 3 stores of its mark located at Manhattan, London and Los Angeles.

In November 2005 it creates for H&M a collection called “Stella McCarteny for H&M” and since 2004 a collection for Adidas called “Adidas by Stella McCartney”.

Its style is a combination of impeccable cuts, irreverance and sexy femininity. As a vegetarian, Stella McCartney uses neither fur nor leather in its collections.
