Stelios Hadji-Ioannou
Stelios Hadji-Ioannou (Greek Στέλιος Χατζηιωάννου, was born the February 14th 1967 with Athens (Greece) is a Greek contractor. He founded the group EasyGroup, to which belonged the airline company EasyJet and several other companies in various fields. He made his studies with the London School off Economics and with the City University of London, he started by founding a maritime transport company Stelmar in 1992 with a loan of his father, itself ship-owner. After a visit with the the United States it creates in 1995 EasyJet, inspires by Southwest Airlines.
After the spectacular success of its company it diversifies it by adding a chain of Cybercafé, a company of credit card, hiring of cars, hotel.
In 2000, Easyjet was introduced with the Bourse of London and Stelmar is with dimensions with the Bourse of New York the following year.
Its personal fortune is estimated has £650 million. He lives between Monaco and Athens.
