Stefano Modena is old a racing driver Italian born the May 12th 1963 with Modena (Italy). It in particular disputed four seasons of championship of the world of Formule 1 where, in 70 GP, it registered 17 points, signed 2 podiums and took down 1 first line on the starting grid.
Biography
Since its beginnings in automobile competition, Modena took the practice to gain. He is world champion junior of Karting in 1980, 4th of the championship of Italy of Formule 3 in 1986, victorious of the Cut of Europe of Formula 3 in 1986 and international champion of Formule 3000 as of his first season in 1987 (3 victories).Stefano Modena plans to go up in Formula 1 within the stable Onyx of its manager of F3000, Mike Earle, but the team is not ready. He then makes his beginnings in F1 in 1988 in the stable of Walter Brun, EuroBrun. It then negotiates a contract of first pilot at the side of Mauricio Gugelmin at Jordan.
The season 1992 will be the least good last of Modena in F1 and on the plan of the results (if one does not take account of his “folk” season at EuroBrun). It will finish 19th championship, managing only to mark one point.
