Speaking about science fiction, Stefan Wul had an artistic approach near to painting, affirming to be interested only in the sensible universes, made odors, colors, forms, landscapes and animals marvellous:
The magic of the decorations and the environment evoked by the music, here what inspires to me, I believe. And all the remainder is additional. The booklet of opera, I don't care passionately; what interests me, they are the cymbals, an environment, here is, a climate.
After one long period of eighteen years silence, Stefan Wul delivers its last novel in 1977 with Noô , thus creating last once the event.
These novels are regarded today as the traditional ones in the world of the French Science-fiction and were republished many times. Its greater French success remains the Post-apocalyptic novel Niourk which recalls the history of a black child, rejected by his tribe, party in search of the mythical city of Niourk .
