Stefan Bergkvist

Stefan Bergkvist (born the March 10th 1975 with Leksand in Sweden) is a former professional player of Hockey.

Career in club

It began professional hockey in 1992 while playing in the Championnat of Sweden of hockey by playing for the club of its birthplace the Leksands IF. In 1993, during the fishing out of entry in the National league of hockey, it is selected in first round by the Penguins de Pittsburgh (26e choice on the whole). He does not play therefore immediately in the LNH and joined for the season 1994-95, the Ligue of hockey of Ontario (he plays for the London Knights) then will play in the international Ligue of hockey.

In 1995-96, it plays six matches in the LNH for Penguins but it will not succeed in being essential.

In 1998, it turns over to play in Europe in its first club with which it plays three front seasons to change championship. In any the championships it is not able to be essential and it hangs up again its shoes in 2002-03.
