Station-wagon (music)

See also: Station-wagon

A station-wagon is, in music, a section or an instrumental interlude or of percussion of a piece, stopping the flow of this one. It is thus about a cut ( station-wagon , in English) of the principal sections of a piece.

In the slang DJ, a station-wagon is a passage where all the elements of a song (voices, low, etc), except for the percussions, disappear. In Hip hop and Electronic music, a court station-wagon is sometimes indicated like a drop and can be accentuated while also cutting the percussions, unlike a breakdown , a section where only a part, instrumental or vocal, plays while the other parts were removed
