State de Guanajuato

Guanajuato is a State Mexico located on the central plate. Guanajato is also the name of the capital and principal city of the State. The origin of the name Guanajato comes from the word Quanaxhuato which means in Purépecha mountainous place filled with Grenouille S .

Geography

Surrounded by the States of San Luis Potosí, Querétaro, Michoacán and Jalisco, Guanajato occupies a surface of 30.589 km ² and counted approximately 4.893.812 inhabitants in 2005.

One distinge three areas separated by the Sierra from Guanajuato. In north, the plains of north are. It is about an arid region. History

Today, the State de Guanajato is still one of the greatest centers in the world for the production of money. One finds there also tin, Or, Cuivre, Plomb, mercury and Opale.
