Stary Oskol

Stary Oskol (Russian: СтарыйОскол ) is a city of the Oblast de Belgorod in Russia. It is to 500 km in the south of Moscow on banks of the river Oskol. Stary Oskol counts 217.000 inhabitants (2005).

Stary Oskol in the beginning is belonged to the line of fortifications created around Moscow in 1593. The city was conquered by the Tatare S and the Polish. The city also has the theater of combat during the civil war in 1919 and during the Second world war.
