start-up The Startup (or start-up ) or young person-pushes which comes from English startup company is a Entreprise in phase of construction which did not launch out yet on the produce market (or only on an experimental basis). It is in more or less long phase of development of a product, an idea, a market research, etc and of search for professional, technical partners or of failure multiplied by ten compared to traditional companies.

History

This term became popular at the end of the Années 1990 during the proliferation of the dowry-COM (“not French COM”) where many Spéculation S of the stockmarket surrounded small the startups related to information technologies seeking a fast stockmarket entry and promising fabulous future potential profits. Many of these startups started like Spin-off S of university groups of research.

After the collapse of the Bubble Internet, the term lost much of its superb, and became almost Tabou. It seems however that in front of the unpopularity of the French expression “start-up”, the start-up term regains ground.
