Startijenn
History
The group Startijenn was born in 1997 with the college Diwan of Relecq-Kerhuon at the time of the large success of the Fest-noz and groups such Ar Re Yaouank or Carré Penguin. Four Schoolboys at the beginning: Tangi Oillo (guitar), Konogan Year Habask (bombards), Youenn Roue (bombards), Tangi Ropars (chromatic accordion). In 1998 Tangi the Gall-Square replaces Tangi Ropars with the Diatonic accordion. In 2004 Kaou Gwenn integrates the group into the percussions and the group becomes quintet.
In April 2006, Startijenn leaves its first disc distributed by Coop Breizh and meets a sharp success on scene in festivals like the Festival of the Old Plow, Fallen the Night, Thursdays of the Port in Brest or Yaouank in Rennes. The group then forms incontestably part of the leaders groups of the new current Breton scene.
