Starsky and Hutch

Starsky and Hutch ( Starsky and Hutch ) is a Televised series American in a 70 minute old pilot and 92 48 minutes episodes, created by William Blinn and diffused between the April 30th 1975 and the May 15th 1979 on the network ABC. In France, the series was diffused June 10th 1978 with the December 9th 1984 on TF1. A remake of this series, heading Duval and Moretti , is in the course of turning for M6. One of the realizers of this new series is Dominique Guillo.

Synopsis

This series puts in scene two police officers in a Californian metropolis. Starsky (the brown one), spends its time to bichonner its car (a Ford Gran Torino 1974) red to white bands while its assistant, Hutch (the fair one), has more intellectual concerns. Despite everything, they have a common passion: women. Helped by their friend " Huggy the goods tuyaux" , they solve the businesses which are addressed to them by their Dobey captain with very muscular methods.

Comments

The muscular relaxation and work methods of the characters brought a revival in the image of the police officer of the televised series of the Années 1970, most of the time posed, polished and equipped well.

The series was a considerable success at its beginnings but, in 1977, a campaign against violence on television American shakes this success. The scenario writers are constrained to cut the scenes of action to the profit of more romantic or comic scenes. The spirit of the series is not there any more and in 1979, Starsky and Hutch definitively return their famous car to the garage to come out from it more.

In France, the series owes a share of its success with the voices of Jacques Balutin (Starsky) and Francis Lax (Hutch) and with the song of the credits which were written and composed by Haïm Saban. Balutin and Lax had fun to modify or add comic reflections giving the impression to the French televiewers that humor was much more present than it was it in the original version.

In 1977, the episode 2-20 ( Pas of chance Huggy ) in which Starsky & Hutch are replaced by Huggy and its friend Turkey which become private detectives, was to launch Antonio Fargas in his own series Huggy Bear but the episode was a failure and its cancelled series.

Paul Michael Glaser carried out five episodes and David Soul carried out three episodes.

What became the actors of Starsky and Hutch ?

Since the end of Starsky and Hutch , Paul Michael Glaser privileged her career of realizer. One owes him in particular Running Man , in which Arnold Schwarzenegger, participant in an atrocious play, must at the same time save its life and the world. Far from Hollywood, Bernie Hamilton is devoted to charity works.

In 2005, one entitled book Full fires on Starsky & Hutch was published at Horizon Illimité.Ecrit by Philippe Lombard and Pierre Bannier, this luxurious work decorated of many color photos returns on the history and the slides of the series. He seems exhausted today in the editor.
