Universe of Stargate

Stargate is a fiction based on voyages between planets located in the networks of Porte of the stars.

The heroes, members of the United States Air Force, explore the Galaxie, then the close galaxies, thanks to one of these doors discovered on Ground in 1928 on the plate of Gizeh.

They discover civilizations strange, sometimes friendly, sometimes enemy, less, as much or more developed than the Earth, calling into question the history, the legends and mythologies land.

Contrary to the majority of films and series of science fiction based on the exploration of the galaxy, the action of Stargate is not in the future but at our time.

The Earth and its teams of exploration, newcomers on a galactic scale, often behave like a dog in ninepins, multiplying awkwardnesses, upsetting the established order since thousands of years, but succeeding overall and often in-extremis improving the general situation by their new eye, their ingeniousness, their humor and their pugnacity.

This series reports their explorations in the galaxy of PEGASE. ; 2008 : Stargate Universe : Robert C. Cooper partly revealed the screen of the 3rd series Stargate ; the concept will turn around the use of mysterious the ninth rafter of the door of stars. The series will be based on an arc different from the 2 other series. It will be a stand-alone and will evolve/move in our time.

Prices

Among the many récompences obtained (in particular for its special effects), Stargate SG-1 entered the book of the records in August 2006 in the category “TV Personalities”. Indeed, Stargate SG-1 is described there as being more the long series of science fiction diffused without interruption, with 10 seasons at present. The episode " Company off Thieves" (#10x09), the 203e of the series, makes it possible to beat the record established by " X-Files" with 202 episodes. With the end of the 10th season, Stargate SG-1 cumulates a total of 214 episodes.

Emmy Awards 2006: For the 58e edition, the Stargate frankness obtains a nomination for the music of Stargate Atlantis .

Spacey Awards 2006: the Stargate frankness gained 2 prices:

• that of the Best team of actors;
• that of the Best new character for Ben Browder who incarnates the Mitchell lieutenant-colonel in season 9 of the series.

The price of the best series TV was gained by another series of a short head in front of Stargate SG-1 .

Cartoon

; 2002 : Stargate : Infinity : This series reports the adventures of a team of the Door of Stars, in the future. To note that this series has great inconsistencies with Stargate Atlantis, and even with Stargate SG-1 as from season 8, like the fact that the Old ones are kinds of insects humanoïde flying.

However, there was no official announcement concerning the cancellation of Stargate SG-1: The Alliance on behalf of MGM or of Perception.
