Star of van Maanen
The Star of van Maanen is a white Naine. Among the dwarf white ones known, it is the third closer to the Sun; nearest being Sirius B and following the Procyon B. It is also dwarf white the recluse nearest to the Sun known. Its luminosity is less than 2/10000 of that of the Sun.
The star of van Maanen was discovered in 1917 by Adriaan van Maanen. It is third the dwarf white one discovered after 40 Eridani B and Sirius B. , p. 2
