Stanstead is a Canadian Ville of the Quebec, located in the regional Municipalité of county of Memphrémagog and the administrative area of the Estrie.

Municipal chronology

• 1857 : Constitution of the municipality of village of Stanstead Lime pit starting from the municipality of canton of Stanstead.
• 1873 : Constitution of the municipality of village of Beebe Lime pit starting from the municipality of canton of Stanstead.
• 1892 : Constitution of the municipality of village of Rock'n'roll Island starting from the municipality of canton of Stanstead.
• 1957 : Rock Island changes its statute for that of town of Rock'n'roll Island
• February 15th 1995: Rock'n'roll Island, Beebe Lime pit and Stanstead Plain are amalgamated to become the town of Stanstead .
