Among the unfinished projects of Stanley Kubrick, one can quote, a film on Napoleon Bonaparte, abandoned at the request of the producing S: a monumental project (fruit thirty year old of painstaking task) which fails in 1969 for technical reasons, financial and of organization. Orson Welles

Orson Welles declared, in 1963: Among the young generation, Kubrick appears a giant to me . Welles was born in 1915 and Kubrick in 1928 but the two artists have many common points. Both have carried out of deeply original films, and almost the same number (13 films for Kubrick, 15 for Welles). They were tested with film of kind, and lived in Europe, with the difference close Kubrick was voluntarily exiled in England to work in peace, whereas Welles was constrained there by the force of the things; it needed to take down roles to finance its films.
