Stanley Baldwin

Stanley Baldwin , 1st count Baldwin de Bewdley, born with Bewdley (Worcestershire) the August 3rd 1867 and died in Stourport (Worcestershire) the December 14th 1947, is a British Politician .

Member of the conservative party, it was Prime Minister in 1923, then of 1924 with 1929 and of 1935 with 1937. He had to face the dynastic crisis which ended in the abdication of Edouard VIII in favor of his brother George (December 11th 1936). Stanley Baldwin became honorary member of Royal Society the November 3rd 1927.
