Stanislav Varga
Stanislav Varga is a Slovak Footballeur born in 1972 with Lipany.
It carried the colors of Sunderland and was then lent a few months to West Bromwich Albion before returning to Sunderland. In January 2003 it is transferred to the Celtic FC by Martin O' Neill which almost does not use it until the month of June 2003. But at the time of the two following seasons he becomes a holder in the central defense of the 3-5-2 of the trainer. With the departure of Martin O' Neill in June 2005, Stan Varga knows a difficult beginning of the season following under the crook of Gordon Strachan which changed the system of play to pass into 4-4-2; it loses its place following a wound to the beginning of the championship and will rejouera in championship only at the time of the last days, once the acquired title, and in winter benefitting from the departure of Dianbobo Baldé with the Coupe of Africa of the Nations.
In June 2006, arriving at the end of the contract, it is prolonged one year but in August 2006, it engages finally with Sunderland, its preceding club, where it is signed by the new trainer and former fellow-member with the Celtic FC, Roy Keane.
